As for how honest I am when asked what I’m in to depends on the situation. If it’s people I’m trying to create a connection to then I’m more likely to be honest about my geeky activities. Then I just try to be careful not to overdo my introduction to my hobbies because I can go on for a very long time. If I’m in a situation where I’m talking to strangers that I don’t expect to see again, I may not, unless they or someone else brings it up. I must admit that most of the time, people are very positive in their reactions. The worst I’ve gotten is the “you’re an oddball” look, which I don’t mind much. I now have a co-worker that I don’t see very often call me ducky every time I see him because I have a collection of rubber duckies in my cubicle. At least he’ll remember me for a long time, even if it may not be in the best of light.
Red Dragon Inn – love that you can slay the princess. Lol! Seriously, though, sounds like a funny game. Have to bring it up to my friends. But wouldn’t it be something to have a game where you can slay the princess and rescue the dragon?
Definitely have to pay special attention to Kickstarter pledge levels. I always make sure to ask questions if something doesn’t make sense. But I have seen some project creators make some stupid decisions and piss off a lot of people. After Storm the Castle ended, they allow additional pre-orders on their website with the exclusive KS promos. I personally didn’t have a problem with it – I always think, the more the merrier. But a lot of people were very upset.
I hadn’t heard that the turtles movie had been shelved – glad to hear that. It was just plain stupid. No need to geek rage on it anymore.
